Leading North Wales law firm, Swayne Johnson, which
has offices in Denbigh and St Asaph has announced
that it is has merged with Llandudno solicitors,
Chamberlain, Johnson & Parke.
The merger, completed on 9 May, saw Swayne Johnson
open at the existing offices of Chamberlain, Johnson
& Parke in the town’s Trinity Square.
The merger will provide Swayne Johnson with a base
in a town of growing importance and will play a
vital role in the firm’s plan to expand its
services to a wider client base across North West
Wales.
The firm is now known as Swayne Johnson Solicitors
incorporating Chamberlain, Johnson & Parke.
Both firms have already embarked upon the task of
integrating their operating systems, departments
and the sharing of expertise. Swayne Johnson were
recently awarded Lexcel accreditation by the Law
Society for their practice management standards.
Commenting about the merger, Edward Lloyd, managing
director of Swayne Johnson Solicitors, said: “This
is an exciting development for both Swayne Johnson
and Chamberlain, Johnson & Parke. North Wales
is experiencing a growth in commercial and business
development and we wanted to make sure that Swayne
Johnson is a part of that growth.
“While we remain fully committed to the Vale
of Clwyd via our existing offices in Denbigh and
St Asaph, it was felt that as Llandudno is emerging
as a business and cultural centre for North Wales
that it was important for Swayne Johnson’s
ongoing development as a leading firm of solicitors
in the region, that we should have an office in
the town.
“Our plan is to grow the business in Llandudno
and the surrounding areas via existing Chamberlain,
Johnson & Parke clients and by developing relationships
with the wider local and regional business community
and private clients. Chamberlain, Johnson &
Parke have considerable expertise and standing in
Llandudno and both firms are proud to be working
together” Mr. Lloyd said.
Senior partner of Chamberlain Johnson & Parke,
J.O. Jones added : “We are proud to announce
our merger with Swayne Johnson. Our clients will
still continue to get the same level of expertise
and personal service that Chamberlain, Johnson &
Parke provided previously. Our merger with Swayne
Johnson will however enable us to expand upon the
range of services and expertise that we will now
be able to offer new and existing clients. I would
like to reassure present clients that their matters
will continue to be dealt with from the Llandudno
office”
The merger takes the number of employees in Swayne
Johnson to over 50. “We pride ourselves on
being able to provide a wide range of specialist
legal services that clients might believe is only
available from large city centre companies and our
merger with Chamberlain, Johnson & Parke will
further strengthen this capability” added
Mr. Lloyd.
